Independent for community action
One major policy I have is that if I am elected to parliament I would take a 50% cut in salary, and put the remainder back into the community: To organise weekly public meetings, and invite all to participate to voice their views and concerns about current issues. The people attending can vote and organise sub-committees, and working parties, to work within the electorate and outside.
As an independent, no political party would be formed. Many people have lost faith in the party system. Politicians currently serve their political parties, first, before the community. Only an independent can provide true democracy and accountability to the people.
